Dr. Crabo grew up in the Midwest, and as the son and grandson of veterinarians, had no trouble running the family's cattle, horse and crop farm during his high school years. After graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, Dr. Crabo completed an internship in Large Animal Medicine & Surgery at Washington State University. In July of 1991, Dr. Crabo joined Chaparral Animal Hospital which later became Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center in 2008. Dr. Crabo is married to Barbara, a horse trainer and riding instructor who loves three-day eventing. Together they have a daughter named Jordan, 7 horses, 3 dogs and 1 cat on their "ranch," Four Peaks Farm. When the two of them get a rare chance to get away, the Crabos enjoy horse shows, scuba diving, and snow skiing together. Professionally, Dr. Crabo's interests include general equine practice, equine sports medicine & lameness, and equine reproduction.

Al Curry has been in the horse shoeing business since 1975. He has gained much knowledge about the care and conformation of the horses' feet through his years of experience. He has been married to his wife Denise for 16 years. Al is an important member of the STR team and is extremely skilled in solving shoeing problems.
